The Japanese coffee company Maxim Stick came up with an aggressively cute viral advertisement for their brand. Animators for their Latte Motion Project spent three days in a studio in Kanagawa Prefecture with some 1,000 cups of latte. Using stencils and cocoa powder sprinkled on top of the coffee, the artists created a stop-motion animation showing the life of a couple through their initial meeting to their grandchildren.
It’s the sort of thing you can normally only see as you approach the LD50 level for caffeine and start to hallucinate. Save yourself the trouble and enjoy this twee little story over the safety of YouTube.
