As we discussed earlier in this issue, collector interest in Picasso’s ceramics from his years at the Madoura studio is on the rise. This video from Christie’s, promoting a 2012 sale of Picasso’s ceramics, discusses some of the history and the themes that can be seen in the artist’s forms. According to Christie’s the auction brought in £8,082,300 (or about $13.5 million).

Good Afternoon,
I was delighted to have just watched the Pablo Picasso Video about his ceramics. Beautiful stuff. At any rate, I came upon this video on Google while attempting to research various works of nudes on tile. You see, I very recently acquired a ceramic tile with a nude woman. Though the painting style looks extremely similar to Picasso’s work, I can not make out the signature. Can anyone help me in identifying this piece? I am happy to email photos of the tile.
Kind regards,
Tom
