In the thick of winter (at least here in the northern hemisphere, those south of the equator, save this link for later), we wanted to offer a sweet respite from your chilly reality with these balmy tiles from Studio Anansi. Enjoy.
Studio Anansi‘s Tulum Collection of encaustic ceramic tiles features vibrant geometric shapes, which draw inspiration from the stunning coastal town in Mexico’s Mayan Riviera. Soft coral, Caribbean blue and philodendron green comprise the series’ palette, which is available in two patterns: Trio and Box Grid. DesignMilk writes each is features three rich, graphic combinations that evoke the essence of the tropical locale.
Due to the unique patterns, the tiles can be arranged in various ways to create cool configurations, along with a mix of colors for added boldness. The 8 x 8 inch cement tiles are made by hand in Mexico, bringing the collection back around to its origin.
The Studio explains the graphic illustrations are ripe for numerous pattern possibilities allowing the user to customize any space to their own individual taste.
The Tulum Collection preserves the historical and traditional process of encaustic tile production while capturing the vibes of Tulum’s modern, cool and elegant style.
