Indonesia’s exotic natural timbers have inspired Bali, a new ceramic tile collection by Ariana of Italy. It comes in 67 different variations in color and “wood grain.” Bali offers a fusion of different sensory experiences from distant lands—one option alludes to the bark of a banana tree—and lends elegance and personality to contemporary living spaces.
The tiles are juxtaposed without necessarily following the direction of the faux wood grain. Bali gives interiors a new sense of being part of nature, creating warm and welcoming atmospheres.
Ariana was founded in the Reggio Emilia province of Italy as a packaging solutions company. In September 1967, the company turned to making ceramics, specializing in red body ceramic wall tiles. They joined the ABK Group of ceramics in 2000 and since 2009, Ariana has been “reviving its own identity” as a maker of unique and special home products. The company boasts that they have, throughout history, “invent(ed) a thousand different ways to say ‘bathroom.'”
