We’re still in the infancy of 3D printing. That’s a good thing because it means we get to experience leaps that feel similar to the advancements the Internet went through during our lifetimes. In the early days of CFile we wrote about 3D printers that looked like glorified microwaves. In just two short years we have concepts for things like Nexa 3D’s NX1, a printer that looks so much closer to the hyper-sci fi future we picture when we think about 3D printing.
In addition to its sexiness, the machine promises to produce printed objects faster than current printers. The speed they advertise is 1 minute-per-centimeter-height. The company is raising money through its Kickstarter page. They have about two weeks left and have raised nearly $115,000 of their $170,000 goal.
