Welcome back to Spotted, our weekly roundup of selective finds from the worlds of contemporary ceramic art and contemporary ceramics. We’ re deep in fair and festival season, so we want to share some of our favs.
Last week, we wrapped up the 9th Annual Dallas Art Fair (April 7 – April 9, 2017), which showcased, prominent national and international art dealers and galleries exhibiting painting, sculpture, works on paper, photography, video, and installation by modern and contemporary artists.

Onward, we continue our art fair and festival journey to Miart (April 13, April 15, 2017). Miart is a fair in which modern and contemporary art communicate constant references with explicit echoes affording a situation to grasp links between the past and present. Miart emphasizes this aspect aspiring to work on the possibility of testing institutional strategies that differ from existing models, the aim being to set out along a path in which Miart plays an active role in modern and contemporary production throughout the entire year, not just during the days of the art fair.
