We know Molly Hatch for her “plate clusters,” grids of hand-painted porcelain plates that create a larger image when arranged on the wall of a gallery. Hatch has been taking on different projects in addition to her large-scale installation work; her work with Cheeky is one such venture.

Hatch designed a series of paper plates, napkins and disposable cups which are sold at Target. Mass-produced and low-priced, they still bear her indelible design sense. In addition to a set of disposable picnic plates that are interesting to look at (shocking!), the company promises to donate one meal to the hunger relief nonprofit Feeding America for each item purchased.
