We’re deep within art fair season this year. Below are some of our ceramic selections from Art Beijing Contemporary Art Fair, Art Cologne and Collect 2015, London.
Out of the three, we have some thoughts on London. Collect 2015, London (at the Saatchi Gallery, May 8 – 11) was relentlessly conservative providing the usual array of tabletop finely crafted ceramics. Technique overshadowed adventure and it looked much like last year. For CFile the Anne Marie Laureys work (now with a new dealer) was the standout, form and emotion knotted together.
