Our chief editor Garth Clark is taking his all-encompassing knowledge of contemporary ceramic art on the road.

Here are the dates of his engagements, along with brief descriptions and links to where one can find more information:
Gardiner Museum: Wednesday, September 28, Lunch
Lunch discussion with the Museum’s Young Collector’s group about collecting contemporary ceramic art.
Gardiner Signature Lecture Series: Wednesday, September 28 at 6:30 p.m.
Clark will present Reinventing Ceramics: New Paradigms for Clay in Art at Toronto’s Gardiner Museum. This “fast paced multi-media presentation” will cover new creative and marketplace paths for ceramics in design, architecture, art and technology. Think of this talk as your survival guide on collecting, curating and making a living in the new ceramic marketplace.
Sheridan College: Thursday, September 29
Clark gives a morning lecture, What is a Ceramist?, to students and faculty at Sheridan Art College, Oakville, Ontario.
Canadian Society of Decorative Arts: Thursday, September 29 at 6 p.m.
Garth goes back to Toronto and he takes Reinventing Ceramics over to the CSDA’s 34th Symposium Tradition Redefined, The Decorative Arts in Contemporary Urban Context.
Los Angeles County Museum of Art: Saturday, October 1, 11:15 a.m.
He appears a few days later as part of a panel discussion at LACMA’s Beyond Bling: Jewelry Matters. He’ll be speaking with Kerianne Quick, assistant professor of Jewelry and Metalsmithing at San Diego State University. The conversation will be moderated by Glenn Adamson, an independent scholar from New York City.
Keep your ears open for Garth’s “Last Lap” lecture tour, coming up soon as a C-File fundraiser. It only visits 12 venues and includes a long-awaited “New markets” seminar for studio ceramics and crafts. Act quickly when it is announced so your institution can be part of this historic final tour. When it’s over, it’s over.
Bill Rodgers is the Managing Editor of cfile.daily.

Unfortunately I will be unable to make it to any of those lectures as I am in Ottawa.
Any chance that they will be recorded and posted on line on Cfile?
