TEMPE, Arizona — Cfile Foundation Founder and Editor-in-Chief Garth Clark embarks on his final speaking tour WITNESS: Garth Clark’s Journey through The Ceramic Art Revolution, a riveting multi-media presentation, at Arizona State University on February 22, 2018 at 7pm in COOR Hall, room 170.
The performance kicks off the ASU Art Museum’s biennial Ceram-a-rama weekend, which will feature a preview party at the ASU Art Museum Ceramics Research Center on Friday, February 23, 2018 and a dinner and live auction featuring work by David Shaner, Susan Beiner, Patricia Sannit, Tony Marsh, Jun Kaneko and more. The Garth Clark performance is free and open to the public, and tickets for the other events can be purchased at www.ceramarama.com.
Silent auction items and experiences from that weekend’s celebration, which will include donations from Garth Clark and Mark Del Vecchio, as well as other collectors, artists and gallerists, will be available for online viewing and bidding here (soon!).
Garth Clark remains the most influential and provocative voice in international ceramics after five decades in the field; feared, loved, derided and celebrated. Clark is not an ivory tower theorist, but has had his boots on the ground for half a century, with a particular knack of being physically present and often the key protagonist in some of the key revolutionary moments for ceramics since 1970.
Garth Clark exercises wide-ranging erudition and profound sophistication with a common touch…he is a welcoming voice—never condescending and “educational” but confident of the reader’s appetite for grown up complexities that are explored with clarity and feeling. —Peter Schjeldahl, art critic The New Yorker.
Known for his wit, deep scholarship and entertaining speaking style, Garth Clark’s WITNESS melds own biography with the ceramics field history in the USA. Stylistically it is more like a one-person stage show than a conventional lecture, no podium, no reading from a script, with video snippets and a multimedia presentation.

Hi! Are all the dates chosen yet? I’ve googled to find out when he’s coming to NYC since you posted about it last year but can’t find anything about it.
