The following comes to us from Turkishceramics. This project asked six architecture firms to submit proposals for a series of water fountains to be installed around London. The prompt was to incorporate ceramic detail into designs that referenced the architectural history of the water kiosk. The project was organized by the Architects’ Journal in partnership with Turkishceramics.
The architects submitted proposals which include things such as a fountain with a canopy, a collection pool, “street furniture” and a fountain which has space for a newsstand.
The firms included in the project are Zaha Hadid Architects, Studio Weave, Hopkins Architects, Eric Parry Architects, Allford Hall Monaghan Morris and ADAM Architecture. Their designs are included below.
