APULIA, Italy — Gina Design Studio is a partnership between Ivana Mannavola and Nicola Lattanzi. Born in 1988, they studied together at the Politecnico di Bari in the fields of product and graphic design. Their studio, based in Apulia, produces everything from lamps, to clocks, to these great little “Submarine” vases.
The shape is familiar to us; it reminds us of CuldeSac’s olive oil container from a couple years ago, a rectangular body with square edges and a chute-like spout opening at the mouth of the container. “Submarine” combines metal with contemporary ceramics to make vases. Each spout is designed to support exactly one long stemmed flower or groups of smaller flowers.
Enjoy these images of “Submarine” and be sure to check out the studio’s other designs on their web site.
