Slice is an American company that produces tools that use ceramic blades instead of metal ones. They collaborate with different designers to make everything from scissors, safety knives, tweezers and box cutters.

One of those designers is Karim Rashid, who has more than 3,000 designs and 300 awards under his belt. Rashid worked in 35 different countries for clients such as Slice, Method, Dirt Devil, Citibank and Hyundai. He’s been featured in 20 permanent collections and exhibits in art galleries across the planet.
We enjoy Rashid’s choice of loud colors and deceptive shapes which disguise the objects’ true purpose. Veggie peelers take on the look of leg razors, precision cutters look like pens, a mill looks like an unassuming ceramic sculpture. As a bonus, these designs are imminently affordable.
