Fou de Feu is the Belgium ceramic studio of Veerle Van Overloop, who works within architecture, photography, design and food culture. She states that her work is a blend of materials in a “simple and pure” way. She’s inspired by using everyday shapes and forms to create different dimensions and functions.
“Rhythm,” a set of tableware pictured below, does just that. Porcelain objects are combined with leather, wood and marble. The set carries a distinctive “teardrop” theme, present throughout many of the objects. Overloop created the set in a variety of sizes to give every table using the set its own “rhythm,” hence the name.
