Terkel Skou Steffensen is a designer from Copenhagen, Denmark. He co-founded the Madebywho design studio with Toft Hornemann.
Steffensen is a master in product design candidate at ECAL. One of his projects there, under direction by Alexander Taylor, began as an experiment in making typefaces for use in house addresses.
From Designboom:
“the work is focused on the understanding of various types of clay, and how they react during the extrusion process; a low cost, highly efficient manufacturing method often used in brick making. ‘extruded clay font’ began with numbers to be used as house addresses, but eventually transitioned to include the full alphabet as well.
