We would be nothing without our worldwide community of publishers, galleries and artists working in contemporary ceramic art. Because of them, we can provide our members with cfile.library, the most amazing resource in existence for catalogs, obscure books and other publications that most readers in ceramics might have difficulty accessing globally. Few (including brick and mortar libraries) could ever afford to build a resource as rich, broad and current as what we are building online.
Last week we released the first six Garth Clark Gallery catalogs, which are invaluable to the field. They are now available in the company of Sueharu Fukami, Christine Nofchissey McHorse, Bouke de Vries, Ian Johnston, Daisy Youngblood, Nicole Cherubini, and countless more who are vital to the state of contemporary ceramic art. I delight in imagining all of these artists having a cocktail together in virtual reality. It’s a classy affair in our library, that’s for certain. We only include titles that we think have exceptional worth and value to the ceramic discipline.
Most of the time, we follow-up with artists and organizations as we seek additional catalogs, but we are aware that sometimes (though hardly ever, of course) an exhibition passes without our knowledge.
In précis, we want to see your catalog! If you want us to see your catalog, send a high-resolution PDF to marie_claire@cfileonline.org. Or locate the Submit A Catalog button on our homepage menu.
If your catalog is pre-digital age, or if there are no digital files, please send us a physical copy. If we feel that it is important, we will pay to have it digitalized in the highest quality.
