The CrystalZoo architecture firm of Alicante, Spain, constructed an administration building in green tile last year.
The building, located in La Nucia, was purposed to be a tourist center with a socio-cultural character, the designers told ArchDaily. They said the one-storey structure is intended to “hide” from the eyes of casual observers so that they will experience a greater visual impact once they come closer. Three green shades of hexagonal ceramic tiles work toward this effect.
CrystalZoo has 14 years of experience creating buildings for the public and private sectors in Spain. They contrast themselves to a magician, someone who makes illusions seem real. They say their goal is to make the real seem illusory.
