This exhibition at the Harvey Meadows Gallery in Aspen features 13 works on paper by Peter Voulkos. The works span from 1994 to 2001, created over the years when Peter Voulkos was a visiting artist at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village, Colorado.

The intimately-sized etchings and monoprints were created with master printer Robert Brinker and exemplify Voulkos’ sensitivity to material, line and form. They also tell us more about his thinking behind his stack pots, flash cards from the artist’s occipital brain lobe. They show how he organized volumes, the spatial milieu in which the pots lived in his mind, the explosions, shooting lines and, above all, his manic energy.

This exceptional group is a unique opportunity for the collectors of Voulkos’ art both institutional and private.
