In 2008, Fabrica created the Who is Peggy collection, a set of memorabilia commemorating the life of Peggy Guggenheim. The Italian design studio was commissioned by The Peggy Guggenheim Collection, which is housed in Guggenheim’s former home, Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, on the Grand Canal in Venice, to commemorate the museum’s 60th anniversary.
The limited edition of objects in a variety of media celebrate the mid-20th century American art collector’s life. The colorful, graphic items are all inspired by facets of her personality. Among them, a ceramic letter holder in the shape of a typewriter symbolizes her love of writing letters and ceramic bowls represent her love of lapdogs. The ceramic objects in the edition were fabricated by Bosa Ceramiche of Borso del Grappa, Italy.
