Ben Carter, CFile’s colleague (and bestie) in ceramics journalism, hit a personal milestone last week; his Tales of a Red Clay Rambler podcast had its 100th episode.

To celebrate Ben changed up the format of his show. His guest for the week was Mark Shapiro, a studio potter from Worthington, MA. who fires a wood kiln he built himself. Shapiro takes on the role of host for the episode as he interviews Ben about his career in ceramics and the origin of the Red Clay Rambler podcast.
Ben, the consummate professional, said that we could pick another show to post on CFile if we thought this episode was too self-serving. We declined. We’d like to congratulate Ben on his 100th episode. And, as people who listen to tons of podcasts ourselves, we think it’s interesting when the host pulls back the curtain on the show.
The direct download link is here, but if you enjoy it, you should subscribe to Ben’s show on iTunes.
