Celebrated American Master Potter David Crane has sent CFile a gift, selection of his magnificent stoneware mugs that show him at his best.

These have found a home in our CFile Shop. The artist states of the series:
“Making mugs is like drawing to me; connecting and refocusing my mind on ceramic form, surface and process. I attempt to make mugs that fit the hand and mouth, being comfortable to use. The form of the mug informs the surface decoration. The goal is for the mug to serve its physical purpose and be visually interesting. Ideally, it is THE mug that one selects each morning for coffee or tea.”
This group, consisting of 5 unique forms, do just that; they fit the hand and are a pleasure to drink from. A cup of morning java is a delight and settles the spirit as the day begins.
