It seems strange after looking at “Wave” by Italian design firm Art Ceram that most bathroom fixtures are boxy and angular. “Wave” bucks convention by adding a liberal dose of curves to the set. It’s more fitting with the liquid nature of washbasins that the design gently slopes down the wall in a fluid, uninterrupted motion.
The set, according to Archello, includes the washbasin, taps, fittings, a mirror and a cabinet. These are all contained within a single 50 cm-wide strip. The material is a substance called Korakril, which is made of acrylic resin and natural minerals. So it’s not quite clay, but we’ll let it slide for its subversive slickness.
