Marie Schenker, a designer based in Fribourg in Switzerland, is a 2012 product design graduate of Ecal, Lausanne.
Her design, “Filtracotta,” was a semi-finalist for the James Dyson Award in 2012. She states that the pitcher combines the “ancestral” way of cooling water by evaporation through terracotta with current water filtration technology. The jug includes a plastic and silicone-injected funnel which lets cool, purified water run out.
